Holistic Counselling

Holistic counselling is a contemporary approach to counselling which is more gentle than the traditional approaches.  The goal is to facilitate self discovery & self healing.  It focusses on the person holistically, taking into consideration all aspects- physiological, psychological & spiritual.  It looks at all aspects being interconnected and thus able to influence the outcome of each other.  The goal of holistic counselling is to empower the client to be self reliant on their own inner wisdom and ability to heal themselves.

The fundamental goals of holistic counselling are:

Using a variety of techniques, we can gently explore the issues, and lead you to an independent, self sourced answer which enables you to use the skills you learn in your own time long after a session has reached completion.

Each session is designed around your individual needs and what techniques will work best for you. Sometimes that might involve some meditation skills you can take home or work with crystals or essential oils. Together, we can work out the best way to help lead you to a recalibration and reset to help you work towards your “Soulskin” re emerging.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you are interested in trying holistic counselling, you can find a counsellor in your area by searching online or asking your doctor for a referral. When choosing a counsellor, it is important to find someone who is qualified and experienced in holistic counselling. A typical holistic counselling session will last for about an hour. The counsellor will begin by getting to know you and your concerns. They may then ask you about your physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being. The counsellor may use a variety of techniques during the session, such as talk therapy, mindfulness, or bodywork.

Holistic counselling is generally considered to be safe for most people. However, it is important to find a qualified counsellor who is experienced in working with your specific needs. If you have any health concerns, you should talk to your doctor before starting any new therapy.

Each of us has been designed for one of two immortal functions, as either a storyteller or as a cross-legged listener to tales of wonder, love and daring. When we cease to tell or listen, then we no longer exist as people. Dead men tell no tales.
